the Canadian Immigration Minister

The morning of March 23rd is marked by the visiting of Chris Alexander, the Canadian Immigration Minister, accompanied with the Canadian immigration officials and the Canadian Consulate General in Shanghai officials to Redleaf Hospital for its sign ceremony with Canada Douglas College, witnessed the establishment of friendly relations and cooperation between the two sides.



People who participated in the ceremony, include Chris Alexander, Canadian Immigration Minister; Rick Savone, Consul General of Canadian Consulate General in Shanghai; Carl Dholands, policies and Regulations Department of Immigration Canada Secretary; Zhu Bin, office of British Columbia Canadian province education director; Zaw T. Win, Special Adviser of vice secretary general of the United Nations; Wang Panshi, deputy director of Shanghai municipal health and family planning the Committee; Li Shanguo, Shanghai control and maternal and child health director, Dong Ming, Shanghai city disease prevention; health and Family Planning Committee of the international cooperation department director; Dr. Scott McAlpine, president of Douglas College, Dr. Guangwei Ouyoung, vice president of Douglas College; Cynthia Murphy, the Canadian Association of Colleges of immigration integration project director; and Zhou Zhengkuan, Redleaf Group Chairman, Mrs Ma Xuanhua, vice president; Dr. John Yeh, Redleaf hospital director, Chris Orejudos, COO, Dr. Michelle Lu- Ferguson, medical director, Zheng Min, vice president, Mrs Liu Shenglan, executive director of nursing department.


Chris Alexander delivered a speech at the ceremony, and affirmed and praised both pragmatic and in-depth cooperation, and that the government of Canada will continue to actively promote exchanges in the fields of health and education, provide more powerful support and help for the related institutions. After that, Wang Panshi, the Shanghai city health and Family Planning Commission deputy director, he gave a warm welcome to guests at the arrival of Canada and said the partnership will make Redleaf more international. In the future they will also continue to encourage more medical institutions and can learn from international experience.


John Yeh presented his speech to further cooperation to carry out nursing training, medical management aspects of communication, so as to promote Redleaf's academic level and management level to keep pace with the international level. Douglas College President Dr. Scott McAlpine in his speech also hoped the two sides could complement each other in the future cooperation, common development. Then, two people representing the Redleaf and Douglas College signed a "cooperation agreement", and took a group photo with guests.

Shanghai Redleaf is to provide the international high-end medical service and health management for women and children. The Douglas College is located in Vancouver City, a prestigious comprehensive public university, its nursing College is famous for excellent teachers, advanced courses and advanced facilities and become the industry leader in nursing. According to the agreement, both sides will strengthen exchanges and learning in training nurses, the Nursing College of Douglas College will regularly send nurses to Redleaf practice, and in turn, Redleaf will transfer to Douglas College for nurse training.
